Tore's DifferenceAt Tore’s Home, the focus of our attention is on providing our residents with a quality of life despite of the challenges the aging process presents. We have accomplished this by
custom designed small facilities with only 6-12 residents in each home. These homes are built by the management of Tore’s Home to ensure that it meets our requirements.
Our Belief
At Tore’s Home, every resident at virtually any level of care required should receive the utmost in personal care. With that focus in mind, our homes have been built to achieve the most home-like atmosphere possible. Unlike hospital-like facilities and sprawling city-like campuses, Tore’s homes are small and intimate, giving our residents a real sense of family. Most of our residents have private rooms and each home averages only 6 to 12 residents. Some companion rooms are available for those residents who need more social interaction. Set in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, residents can enjoy looking out to the scenic beauty of nature from their rooms or sitting with friends on a porch. Small gardens are available for residents to show off their green thumbs by growing their favorite flowers or vegetables, or just sitting back and watching others do the work. We provide comfortable and easily accessible transportation to medical-related appointments, outings, and special events, as well as transportation to family get-togethers and special occasions.
This October marks the two year anniversary of my mom and dad moving into their apartment at Tore’s Home®. I wanted to commend you and your staff on the incredible care you have provided to them. Before coming to Tore’s, my parents were in another assisted living facility for about a year. During that time, we helped augment the services the facility offered by hiring caregivers to sit with my parents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Even with the additional care, the level of service they received there didn’t even come close to the love and care they have received at Tore’s over the last two years. It’s easy to see why your organization has such a tremendous reputation. Thank you for letting my parents feel like they are really home.
You will never know how much your love and care and support have meant to our family. Some wonderful memories were created during the ten months that “old Charlie” was with you! Thank you is not enough, but we truly mean it. You have a beautiful community in that house and it was home not just to Dad, but to all of the family as well. Your work and ministry were a gift for Dad.
