Assisted Living Program
Tore’s Assisted Living provides our residents with another level of care in a true home-like
environment for residents who can no longer stay in their own home.
Homelike facilities provide comfort and privacy. These homes are located in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by views of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Each home houses six to twelve residents with large private rooms and sunny dining areas.

A Sancturary of One's Own
In many facility settings, shared spaces can feel institutional. By prioritizing private rooms, residents have a dedicated sanctuary where they can:
- Personalize the Space:
Bring their own furniture, photos, and cherished belongings to recreate the feeling of the home they’ve always known. - Control Their Environment:
Residents have autonomy over their own lighting, temperature, and media (TV/Radio) without needing to negotiate with a roommate. - Quiet Reflection:
Having a private door to close allows for restorative rest and quiet moments away from the social hum of the common areas.
Pet Friendly
Many of Tore’s Home’s rooms have dog doors to the outside to encourage residents to bring their own pets, as long as the following criteria are met:
- Pet must not present a nuisance/danger to other residents or pets in the facility.
- Pets must have all necessary shots and be under a veterinarian’s care.
- The pet will have to be removed from the facility if we have residents in the facility who are allergic to pets.
- Tore’s Home reserves the right to deny any pet we do not deem appropriate. Please no Pitt bulls, snakes, or elephants.
- Residents bringing their own pet must sign a separate agreement for the pet.

At Tore’s Home, our commitment is focused on "aging in place." We provide high-level medical assistance for residents whose needs have progressed beyond traditional assisted living. By bringing specialized care directly to the resident, we eliminate the trauma of a second move, allowing seniors to remain in their familiar, homelike environment even as requirements increase.
Memory Care
Specialized Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support
This program is uniquely designed for intimacy and safety. Operating small-scale, secured homes with only six residents each, we provide a quiet, low-stress atmosphere that is clinically proven to benefit those with memory impairment. Our "Universal Workers" build deep bonds of trust, ensuring proactive care and a high quality of life for those navigating dementia.
Bedridden Care
Dignified Assistance for Limited Mobility
We specialize in Bedridden Care, providing compassionate, around-the-clock support for residents with severe physical limitations. Our highly trained staff focuses on skin integrity, comfort management, and personal hygiene, ensuring that even those who are non-ambulatory receive the same level of social engagement and dignity as every other member of our community.
End-of-Life Care
Compassionate End-of-Life Support
Tore’s Home provides a peaceful sanctuary for End-of-Life care. Working in partnership with local hospice providers, we manage the clinical and emotional needs of our residents at the end of their journey. Our mission is to ensure a transition characterized by comfort, privacy, and dignity, surrounded by a staff that has become like family.
